Salon de The Clementine

We came across this small cafe after doing one of the many walks by the vineyards. My partner had a beer and I had a glass of Pinot Gris. The waitress brought out a plate of nibbles (free) pieces of French bread with tasty...flavoured olive oil and Parma ham. We also shared one of the desserts- Mille feuille cream slice) and I had a good pot of green tea.

We ordered a chicken sandwich and a beer each us). The sandwich was really delicious, and the bread superb. The beers however didn't arrive until we had nearly finished the sandwiches which was disappointing but we all forget things sometimes I suppose ! I...would return though as the tasty sandwich made up for the wait.

As there is not much choice in Rouffach, we went there for cappuccinos, an éclair and a tarte. Cappuccino tasted wishy-washy, éclair and tarte were good BUT just under bucks is much too expensive. Even with the truely friendly service I can hardly...recommend.

Joli salon de thé, bel déco, avec une terrasse pour les beaux jours. Les produits sont bios et locaux. Possibilité de se restaurer à midi, ouvert en journée. Personnel accueillant. Une adresse sympa à Rouffach. Un petit bémol tout de même, le bruit des frigos.

Went for lunch but had only dessert. We ate an apple pie and a lemon pie with merengue. The cakes were homemade and good. Drank branded lemonade. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would visit again.
