I first found out about ‘Something for Jess’ by fluke when a friend posted about it online. I was adamant on visiting it as it featured my name in the title and it sounded quirky and unique. So, on a Thursday morning, my brother and I met a friend of ours for a brunch date.The three of us were immediately in awe of such a quaint venue scattered with delightfully mismatched furniture, funky artwork and the blackboards describing the menu; which has evident vegetarian options. This tiny cafe has a wonderful community feel without any of the pretentiousness often experienced in your typical inner city establishment. The ingredients are fresh and top quality. The bruschetta combinations are interesting and flavoursome. In fact, the food served here is unlike anything I have been served in a Sydney cafe. The cafe may be small and from time to time we have had to share a table however, in my opinion, this contributes positively to the experience and the sense of community at the cafe. Don't go in a large group, take your partner or a friend and enjoy a wonderful breakfast or lunch in this cosy little corner of Chippendale. The coffee is great too!
