The Cock And Magpie

We popped in for an evening meal as the nearby fish restaurant had closed at 5.30pm. We asked for a mini fish and chips after enquiring about the portion size of the normal and mini ones. It arrived within two minutes of ordering it. The chips looked very unappetising and were lukewarm. The batter held an absolutely minuscule amount of fish. Certainly not as described. No desserts available. So a very unprepossesing experience.

Drinks only. They did not have decaff coffee so had to go for cider. Outside seating so can watch the world wander past on the river front and watch the wildlife on the water.

Amazing food, amazing staff, the best ambience in town! We came here for a last minute lunch and it was great. Thanks guys. Hope to see you soon

Amazing pub! Especially the free wine from the landlord our favourite sauvignon. Dog friendly too!
