The Old Friar - Réservation de table

The restaurant recently reopened after renovations and new management, and I decided to check it out for the first time. I have to say, it was a very relaxed, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. I dined alone but never felt alone. The food was reasonably priced; I ordered the rump steak medium-rare, and it was perfectly cooked with a crispy exterior—definitely better than before. Overall, it was a delightful visit, and I plan to return regularly, just as I did in the past. Emma, our server, was very pleasant and seemed calm and confident, which added to the positive experience. All in all, it was very good!

Absolutely amazing! We visited on a Sunday for the roast dinner. The whole family had the roast, while I opted for the Pesto pasta. I really appreciate a pub that offers a variety of dining options on Sundays, so it's nice to have choices. The presentation of each dish was clear and appealing! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms were very clean. I did notice there were quite a few steps, so if anyone has mobility issues, I would recommend calling ahead to ensure they can accommodate you with a suitable table (for wheelchair access).

We just returned from one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was well-maintained, and all the dishes were amazing with generous portions. We couldn't have made a better choice. We highly recommend it!
