We enjoyed our lunch with friends at Salopian Inn situated adjacent to picturesque vineyards in a beautifully restored old homestead.It appeared the restaurant was tastefully refurbished at some stage and had a lovely atmosphere.The well stocked cellar located under the main restaurant can be viewed by patrons and well worth a look.The food and service cannot be faulted in any way. We shared delicious entrees and different mains ranging from well cooked and presented succulent Aged Sirloin Steak , Coorong Mullet , Boston Bay BBQ Pork Scotch and Grass Fed Beef Pie. The meal at this restaurant was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. We opted for the tasting menu and enjoyed all 12 menu items. The dessert was exceptional. Our window seat by the open fire provided a picturesque view of the vineyards, especially stunning in autumn. The only downside was the artwork, which didn't quite fit the country setting of the historic building - it was more of a dated modern art style. However, art is subjective. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and well-informed. We decided to try the chef's tasting menu. One member of our party had a seafood allergy, but the staff happily accommodated his dietary needs. We were impressed to learn that many of the ingredients were organic and sourced from the restaurant's own vegetable garden. We will definitely be returning in the future.
The restaurant doesn't have specific labels for vegan food on the menu, but they are willing to accommodate vegan requests. We opted for the "Feed Me" option, which is listed at $90 per person on the menu, but they charged us $75 per person for a fully vegan meal, consisting of around 10 courses. Our favorite dishes were the dumplings and the kimchi pancake. The staff is friendly and the cocktails are excellent as well.

After a long drive with empty stomachs, we arrived at The Salopian Inn. The menu had so many tempting choices that we couldn't resist trying them all. Every dish we ordered was delicious and perfectly cooked. The ingredients were fresh and complemented each other well. We left The Salopian Inn with our bellies full and satisfied. I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you happen to be in the area.
The menu doesn’t specify dietary requirements, however if you ask the staff they’re very knowledgeable on what the options are. I went for veggie dumplings, tofu and veggie pumpkin bun. We also shared a side of steamed greens. Everything was fantastic and I highly recommend if you’re doing a day trip to McLaren Vale.
I couldn't find any faults with any of the dishes at this restaurant, and we tried them all. They were very accommodating to vegans and absolutely nailed it. I'm surprised that more people haven't reviewed this place here. I highly recommend visiting, even if you have to travel far to get there.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic. They gladly accommodated vegan diners and the portions were generous with bold flavors. The staff was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend dining here.
