We flew to Vermont just to check this place out and it did not disappoint. We got there early and had a couple drinks while we waited for our table and the drinks were good. For a starter we had fried cheese balls (it had a different name) with anchovie dip and they were AMAZING. For dinner we had Wienerschnitzel and the Maryland crab cake and they were both delicious. The schnitzel was as good if not better than any I had in my travels in Germany. For dessert we had the bread pudding and it was hands down my favorite bread pudding ever. The place is in a converted library and it was cozy. The service was great and we even got a special visit from Melody (the owner) and she was SO sweet. 10/...
had a wonderful dinner with 6 other friends. we all agreed that it was one of the best dinners we ever had. we sat in a private room (one of the small rooms in the past library) on a round table and had a wonderful and attentive server. I had the wobbles soup for a starter and it came completely with a few scissors to cut the cheese saite for a escape I had the crab cake and it was also delicious. for the desert we had the brotpudding and it was fabulous....even if they are not a fan of brotpudding. although reservations are difficult to come, they stay with it....as it will be absolutely worth.
after almost a year we finally got a reservation! the restaurant created in the library was cozy, romantic and stylish. hostess and wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. we order french wobel suppe and escargot and both were delicious. we ordered a bottle of wine and were impressed by the price design. for an entree we order white carvings, portions were huge and this was accompanied by a warm potato salad. not knowing if we could eat more, we ordered the brotpudding! this was the emergence of a beautiful meal and culinary experience.
fabulous dinner experience! very recommended the silver fork! hands down one of the best meal times we ever had - the laughs, white carvings, steak tartare and brotpudding were excellent! we cannot say enough – the personal was so nice, really helpful and the ambiente was perfect. a really wonderful culinary experience!
