One of my friends recently went this restaurant, and said that I had to go. They know I am a complete foodie, so when one of my friend recommends a restaurant to me, I know it must be good. I am a huge lover of authentic Italian food, and find it really hard to get in Sydney. That was before I discovered Vittorio's restaurant! Not only was the food amazing, especially the pasta with the beef cheeks, I got to have a really good talk with Vittorio himself. A small group of us set out for the trek, to the Republic building side of Darlinghurst, scored a safe parking spot close by and required no reservation to be seated at first available table. Visitors to the area are very welcome.The first impression i felt of Vittorio's kitchen was of a gateway to European Italy. A quick greeting from the 'chef di casa' Vittorio and then waitstaff were there to assist on beverages eg. Italian Origin beer or wine whilst we discussed the menue options.Focaccia and tapas(selection of antpiasti) were delivered for starters. The best food, best quality home cooked food. The service here is fantastic..... The chef, well what can I say he is such a great person knows his food and wine well and is always cooking the freshest tastiest meals around. You will not be disappointed!!!!I always order the home made focaccia, you can't go wrong with any of the pasta ( I've tried the all lol) and the chocolate fondant is amazing , if you love chocolate you will want seconds of their gooey yummy delight....

They were fantastic to give me a banquet for my birthday cause usually it's Ala carte. It was perfect potions of food for 9 people and I can still taste the vegetarian pesto fettuccine. Seafood Linguine is also my favourite. Pumpkin Gnocchi is exceptional too. Prices aren't to expensive and they're servings are excellent, perfect for night out. Authentic Italiano dining in the heart of Darlinghurst! A warm welcome, a well thought menu and a great wine list. Try one of the fresh home made pasta dishes (the gnocchi is to die for) as are the desserts at this place. I loved everything about this dining experience.

The meal was fantastic,great value for your money.It was a very warm and friendly place which we loved.The service was first class and they really went out of their way for usI gave them a 10 out of 10 and will recommend every one should try there.

Booked a table for 8 and the service we received was amazing. The food However better than amazing. Wow I'm definitely coming back here. You have to try the home made pasta.
