When I arrived, I asked how long the wait would be and was told it would be about an hour. We decided to place a to-go order instead. I ordered a hot chocolate, chocolate pecan pie, and a Cinnabon, while my sister ordered a hot chocolate, a half coffee half chocolate drink, a cake pop, and a brownie. Keep in mind that they only accept cash, but there is an ATM on-site. After we placed our order, the problems began. The staff did not greet us warmly, which set a negative tone for our visit. We were instructed to wait in the takeout section near the bathroom. While waiting, I noticed several empty tables, which made the one-hour wait time hard to understand. Then, the person ahead of me received her order, and I thought, great, ours should be next. But to my surprise, the people who ordered after us got their food first. When we inquired about our order, the person who took it informed us that they were training someone new, which was causing the delays. That raised a major red flag for me. I've been to the witches brew many times. The food is a hit or miss. Same with the service. The Brussels sprouts are great and so is the hummus. The Mac and cheese is alright, kind of bland. The servers are either really nice and helpful or just non existent. The wait is constantly insane (which isn't their fault of course) but we waited inside for 20 mins just for the host to come up to us after all that time and tell us no one is allowed to wait inside? This restaurant is cash only, but they offer an ATM on-site. It’s the most charming and relaxing place! The lighting is warm and cozy, and the real candles add a lovely touch. It’s an ideal spot for a date night. The servers are incredibly friendly, and I appreciate that there’s no strict uniform; you get to see their personal style, making it feel more like a trendy hangout than a formal restaurant. The pesto gnocchi is absolutely amazing—if I had to choose one dish to eat every day for the rest of my life, it would be this! It's incredibly delicious. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! I been there twice trying to give the benefit of the doubt and the customer service was garbage each and every time. The wait time was ridiculous. the host in the front with the shaved eyebrows is so rude.. just walks around telling the customers if they are done they need to leave. Who talks to customers like that when we are there spending money how do you know I didn't want to order something else.?? Food, coffee and desserts very mediocre and extremely overpriced!! I really enjoyed my food. Unfortunately, since I was from out of the area for work and only had my work credit card, as I had just lost my debit card. It was a great experience until the very end when I was instructed to go use the ATM. Clearly, I didn't have a debit, and being from 7+ hours away. I had no options. So, I ended up having to interrupt others meals to ask for money with an IOU to pay them back via check in the future with my business card from Clarkson University. This was in 2017, but man...the humiliation was real. More signage and letting someone know before they order that it's *cash only* is pertinent.

Got Charged a 10% take out fee when I got 2 cups of coffee and a cupcake from their counter. I ended up spending over 30 dollars on like 24fl oz of coffee and 1 cupcake, also cash only! but dont worry they have an ATM right next to the counter with a nice fee on that too. Rate 4 stars. Food was amazing and staff was nice. Very attentive. My only issue is the system with the wait times. We waited outside for almost an hour. And that was inconvinet but it was worth the wait Réservez une table maintenant

Food and service is always amazing. Really a staple of Long Island eateries . The atmosphere is always relaxed and comfortable. A diamond in the rough.

Ambiance was 10/10. Dessert was good but I was underwhelmed by the s'more I got. Service was excellent and quick.
