When it comes to Chinese cuisine, there is a saying that the less flashy the decor and the more hidden the restaurant, the better the food. This held true for my experience. The restaurant had a simple 1980s decor, the restroom was located in the back, and the service was no-nonsense. We ordered five main dishes, with the braised pork being my favorite while my friends enjoyed the Honey Chicken, Mongolian Lamb, and Beef and Black Bean. The portions were generous, and we definitely ordered more than we could finish. I will definitely be returning to this hidden gem.
This place has been there years, same couple run it. At back of Surf Beach shops. Very small, deals mainly in take away and does very well. About 6 tables inside for diners, very Spartan. Not licenced byo.Food was good in quantity and quality, prices around $15 - $22 for main course. We had chicken dishes and prawn dishes, fine.Really just use use it as a takeway, we dined in, but felt uncomfortable, only diners in a Spartan room with no windows.
The decor is straight out of the 1980’s, the toilet is literally “out the back”, there’s 2 refrigerators in the dinning area, the orders were brought out in a random order and mixed with the table next to us but the food was deadset second to none! And isn’t that what you want from a local Chinese takeaway in a small town? Every town has one and this was one of the best! A must see for any traveller
Classic Australian Chinese restaurant, we were a little worried with some of the reviews but pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Decor is straight out of the 1980s but dont let that put you off. We ordered the Braised pork belly, mongolian lamb, beef and black bean, combination fried rice and the good old Honey chicken along with some starters. Everything was delicious! We'll be back.

Very average tasting Asian food. Little pricy but that's probably to expect in remote beach locations like this. Our issue was the total lack of acknowledgement when they made a mistake. We ordered a chicken dish and asked specifically if the chicken is on bone...More
We ordered some food by phone and picked it up. It was made swiftly and was still lovely and hot when we got it home. We got chicken with cashews and satay beef. It was delicious - better than any Chinese we can get near home. We will be back next time we visit.
Had the best Hot Pot at Surf Beach Chinese speciality night. They also do fantastic chinese I would recommend you try them out. The whole team are great and they make home mad dumplings on Sundays at lunch.
Had a casual dinner there and really enjoyed the place. Can also get takeaways and have them by the beach on warm summer night. Relaxing place and nothing is too much trouble

A hamburger with the lot should be what it says, having to peel the paper off it and then finding a hair in my beef patty topped it all off.
Loving the scallops a nice thick crust with a great crunch.
