Surfside Fish And Chips

Kate serves up great fish and chips. From humble beginnings in a tiny trailer to now a big trailer. I ordered the two-piece halibut $25 and a pop $2. The two-piece halibut comes with coleslaw and fries. The halibut fish was juice, fresh and big. The batter was a little thicker than other places but I still enjoyed it. The tartar sauce was great and I wished they provide more of it. I asked for extra sauce and apparently it's an extra cost but lucky me I didn't have to pay. I dropped by this restaurant while passing through Comox around 5:30 PM. It was quite busy, with a line of customers and several orders being prepared, but I was served quickly despite the crowd. I ordered a piece of cod, which was fresh, crispy, and ready in just a few minutes. The price was great too, at $14. While the tartar sauce wasn’t my favorite, I’m still giving these guys a solid 5-star rating for handling some predictable complaints from impatient customers in line. Keep up the fantastic work!

Tried out this food truck after reading the reviews. We were NOT disappointed! The fish was FRESH and delicious and big pieces. We had the salmon, cod, and halibut and all were fantastic. And the gravy is yummy too! Not only was the food good and fast (there were 6 of us in our group), there is a park and marina there to hang out in. There are a few picnic tables, but they were all occupied so we sat at a regular bench overlooking the marina. A good meal and a good view!

Superb fish and chips. Four of us had either Halibut or Cod fish-and-chips. The consensus: this may have been the best fried fish we’ve ever had. Flaky, no unpleasant fishy taste, and not mushy or soggy. One woman was breading the fish in the back. The wait (with another four or five people before us) was around 15 minutes. But the Snowbirds Air Force acrobatic team were practicing over our heads making the wait worthwhile. Réservez une table maintenant

Delicious Food... My extended family came by for lunch after visiting an outdoor art fair at the Comox Marina. The food was outstanding. The Fish and Chips and Fish Tacos were very popular, and the Panko fried oysters I ordered were the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this place!

the fish and chips was delicious! the cod was fresh and just the perfect amount of batter. gravy is very good. i found the po’boy disappointing: the halibut was good but that was about it. would definitely come back for the fish and chips or other items!

I was out for a walk and started to feel a bit thirsty, so I decided to stop by for a glass of water. While I was there, I thought I’d try some fish and chips. It was amazing—exactly what this girl from Regina, Saskatchewan was craving!

Excellent local food truck located at a park in Comox. The sweet potato fries were amazing but our favorite was the shrimp tacos. Delicious! Definitely a must try. Réservez une table maintenant
